Lightly edited: Hi friends. You may have noticed that I didn't get an episode out on Monday as I like to do. And I want to talk about that a little bit. It's been a really hectic couple of weeks, but we will have a regular episode next week. And I, well, you know, Lord willing and the creek don't rise. But lately, the creek has been a rising. Welcome to Hope Blvd. I'm Geri Carlson. I'm your host, and this is episode number 13. I am so glad you're here. Um, it's been a week. It has been a week, friends. My word. So my apologies for not getting my podcast out on Monday, like I usually like to do. Please know, don't take that as any sign that we're going anywhere or anything's happening. We are here to stay. So I just want to share my heart with you a little bit and let you know um what's going on. And then I want to move on to some things that I'm pretty excited about, actually. So one of the things I want to tell you about is, and I'm hoping that you can help me with this honestly, is that I have a new survey out. And I really need your input about the show and the things you like and you don't like. Now that it's been a few months, I really want to be able to tap into what you want because I want to be able to serve you well. That's really important to me, that I can serve you well through this show. Okay. And so your feedback will help me do that. So please go to hopeblvd.org /survey. I would really appreciate that. If you want to pause this and go do that now and come back, or if you want to wait at the end, maybe I'll put a little reminder at the end. But I really hope you'll help me out with that. And with that said, I have some things that I want to share with you. So let's do it. If you'd like to have some say in the direction of the show, I have a newly created survey for you. Please go to my website and take the survey. It's at hopeblvd.org/survey. There are three main areas I'm looking for feedback in this survey. Personal stories my faith takes, that's those biblical or spiritual insights. And counseling and coaching, insights and tips. What do you like to hear when you come to Hope Blvd? So I'm really hoping to hear which areas resonate with you. You know, your feedback is going to tell me how I can best serve you through this podcast. So I hope you'll take one to two minutes to take this quick survey and thank you very much. I have so much that I want to share with you that I'm going to have to wait until next week. And this is going to be a shorter episode than usual. And mostly because of what I said in the beginning of the show, that it's really been a week, you know. And uh I just want to let you know that I have a couple of family members who are in need of prayer and we would appreciate it. We have one loved one who is fighting for her life right now and in the hospital and intensive care, and the other one is doing better and on the mend, and we hope it stays that way and she comes home soon. Um, but they both really need your prayers, and you know, it's their story to tell, so I don't want to intrude on their privacy, but I'm asking on their behalf for the prayers. So thank you very much for that. Um, but that's the reason the last couple of weeks have been really full with these two family members that we love so much, and we want to be there for them. And, you know, our days have been really full. Any of you who have had loved ones in the hospital, um, who have been in critical situations or serious situations, and it goes on and on, and there's a lot of time that is taken, you know, and maybe you're not at their hospital bed, but you're doing other things to help them. So that's kind of where we're at right now. And at this moment, I can tell you, I'm doing this show after midnight because that's all the time that I could find to do it. I mean, it's important to me to get this episode out, and that's why I'm doing it so late. So by around 5 a.m., you may have this two days late, but still at 5 a.m. That's what I'm hoping for. If I can get this out to you. So I just wanted to share that with you that that's the reason that I have not had time to do this podcast at all. Rob and I have been really tied up with everything going on. So it's priorities, you know, honestly. And my priorities are God, family, podcast, in that order. And so our family has needed us, and that's where we needed to be. And I hope that in the future, ever if I'm a day late or something, I'm just hoping that you'll provide me some grace for that. Um, especially this week. And I hope I don't ever miss a week, but you know, I want to be able to say it, and even with my own health, if I'm having a bad couple of days and I'm not able to get this episode out to you, I may have to say, you know what, I have to put it off for another day. Um, and if that's the case, then it might come out on Tuesday instead of Monday. And so, um, but I never want to miss a week. And so that's why I'm getting this out on a Wednesday. So thank you for your patience with me and for your understanding. I do appreciate it. And for next week, I want you to know I am so excited about what I'm going to talk to you about next week because it has to do with beliefs and faith and hope, always. And also about social health. Oh, I really want to talk to you about this. And if I get into it now, uh, this is gonna be a 45-minute show. I just I know, listen, you don't have the time for it, nor do I right now, but I am excited about getting to talk to you about that. Oh my goodness. I'm going to wake up my husband by talking about this late at night to you. But you know what? I'm excited. So, social health is something that I have been doing, I've been involved with for decades. Only there wasn't really a name for it. At least it wasn't called social health. So I called it a few other things, but social health seems to be what's being talked about right now. And over the next couple of years, you're going to hear a lot more about that. You know, there's physical health, there's mental health, social health now. And a lot of studies out about that. And I'm excited to share those things with you next week. So please, please return and tune in. And, you know, I'm going to leave it at that and just kind of give you that little taste of what's coming. Yeah. I hope that you are all doing well. I hope you and your families are well. I really appreciate you being here. And thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for tuning in and for listening. It does mean so much to me. I will look forward to connecting with you again next week. And until our paths meet again, make it a great day for you and someone else. And remember, friends, there is always hope. Always. Bye for now.
